I was never much into English music until last couple of years. But I still feel that they cannnnot, ever will not(!) compare with the peppiness, shoulder-bouncing-rhythm, spontaneity of dholaks & tablas in our songs. Or the heart-tearing-lyrics. Or the slow, soft, melodious music of Bansuri matched with words I can actually understand the first time I hear them. :)
But, this is of course my opinion! I'm sure many people will disagree and that too not too kindly :D

Well what I feel that both Hindi and English music are fabulous. In fact music in itself is language of soul. nothing can be compared to music. We shouldn't compare Hindi music with English coz both are different, their way of singing, lyrics everything is poles apart. Its not that English music can't be soothing or Hindi can't be that exciting and rocking one. Music is just Music, listen it, feel it , love it the way it is :)

English music is def soothing depends on wt u listen to. MLTR, Yanni, Paul Mauriat Orchestra etc. etc.
